Patient Advocacy and Awareness

“A life that is gained should also be lived”

My Life My Health Toolkit

A survey by ESOT and European Transplant Patient Organisations (ETPO) highlighted the need for person-centred rehabilitation among transplant recipients. The My Life – My Health (MLMH) project is a response to this need, promoting a focus on the person with the organ, rather than just on the organ.

Supporting coherence and adaptation after transplantation course

This educational course was developed to help healthcare professions understand the relationship between person-centred care and adaptation; learn useful ways to approach transplant recipients by cultural sensitivity and acknowledging diversity; and advocate the person-centred approach towards symptom management support.

All projects on this page were developed under a healthcare collaboration between the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT) and Takeda that aims to benefit patient care. All content has been developed independently by ESOT.

Empowering Nurses

This initiative was created to raise awareness of the unique contributions that transplant nurses make, especially to the lives of their patients.
